BROAD OAK will probably start hot favourites to win the Philip Oldfield Trophy on Monday when they tackle Central League outfit Green Moor at Holmfirth (1.00).

The Drakes League club have included Yorkshire hopefuls Charlie Roebuck and Jack Hargreaves in their Under 17 squad for the showpiece junior final, for what was the old Walker Cup, although the two lads will probably not know if they will be required by Yorkshire until sometime on Sunday.

Ben Burnett skippers the side, and if Roebuck and Hargreaves do start, then the Wortley-based side will do well to contain them.

Broad Oak will be chasing a third victory in four years, after winning the Cup in 2004 and 2006.

Graham Hinchliffe and Arnold Darlington are the men in charge, and the teams are:

Broad Oak: B Burnett (capt), J Hargreaves, D Taylor, O Taylor, C Roebuck, J Nixon, E Wilson, C Leonard, S Burluraux, J Harper, S Ford, D Rushworth.

Green Moor: B Simpson, H Howlett, R Davies, B Askey, J Dixon, M Ellsworth, J Bladew, G Broadhead, S Askey, J White, M Maynell.
