SHELLEY’S Muthu Pushpakumara must have put himself into the hunt for the Johnny Hunter Rosebowl award after last week’s storming one-man show at Elland.

After making 102 with the bat, the brilliant Sri Lankan all-rounder ripped through Elland with figures of eight for 47, which included a hat trick in the 32-run win.

Pushpakumara, now nearing the end of his second season at Shelley, needs another 156 runs to break the 1,000-run barrier, while his latest haul gave him 50 wickets.
