THERE was massive disappointment when the Romida Examiner Salver finals day was washed out at Kirkburton.
With Rastrick, Kirkheaton, Green Moor and Meltham waiting to do battle, not a ball was bowled in either semi-final or final.
The semis will now be played on club grounds with the final rescheduled for a date early in September.
Umpires Gary Rank (Honley), Surem Parera (Paddock) and Geoff Barnard (Kirkburton) had no option but to abandon the showpiece in full after persistent showers refused to dry up.
