BARKISLAND and Elland will contest their Sykes Cup semi-final a week on Sunday (1.30) after the game was washed out yesterday.
Heavy showers meant play never got under way at Woodfield, where host club Barkisland will aim to reach their first final.
Elland are eyeing a 27th appearance in the Drakes League’s showpiece knockout match.
It was a big disappointment for everyone at Barkisland, but the tie is now moved to the reserve date of July 20.
Delph & Dobcross host Golcar in the other semi-final this Sunday (1.30).
If that tie falls foul of the weather, it will also be played on July 20.
Golcar and Delph, in fact, go head-to-head tomorrow night in the quarter finals of the Examiner Twenty/20 Trophy, only this time it’s at Swallow Lane.
The other ties are Primrose Hill v Broad Oak, Honley v Micklehurst and Kirkheaton v Skelmanthorpe.
All ties start at 6.30.
