Cap that, Paul

LASCELLES HALL captain Jonny Bishop hopes to return to action next week. The 29-year-old all-rounder broke his left thumb when attempting to take a catch against Paddock in the second round of the arrowselfdrive Sykes Cup on May 19 and hasn’t played since.”I’m hoping in the next week or so to be doing some batting and also to get a few overs under my belt with the ball,” he told me.Bishop’s return will be a big boost to their Cedar Court Conference promotion hopes, although experienced Tony Mulhall has done an excellent job as skipper in his absence.
