LAST year’s beaten finalists Thongsbridge face a visit to in-form Cedar Court side Lascelles Hall in this year’s semi-finals of the Oddfellows Cup.
Ben Raven-Hill’s Frank Platt Championship leaders went down to promoted Clayton West in last year’s final, and are bidding to go one better this season.
Meanwhile, in the other semi, the other remaining Conference side Almondbury have home advantage against the other Championship club through to the last four, Barkisland.
Both ties will be played on Sunday, July 22 (1pm).
In the Earnshaw Cup, for Second Elevens, the winners of the quarter-final tie between Delph & Dobcross and Emley Clarence will be at home to Lascelles Hall, while Clayton West will entertain newcomers Cumberworth United. These ties will also be staged on July 22.
The eagerly-anticipated draw for the knockout stages of the Romida Twenty/20 Trophy will now not be made until the weekend.
Drakes League officials have not yet collated all the results and therefore have been unable to finalise the group positions.
It is expected the quarter-final draw will be made by the Executive and subseqently published in Monday’s Examiner.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the T20 Shield (which was drawn through prior to the start of the season and is for the Championship and Conference clubs only) is:
Linthwaite v Armitage Bridge, Cawthorne v Thongsbridge, Cumberworth Utd v Lascelles Hall, Almondbury v Lepton Highlanders.
These matches will be played this coming Tuesday, with the semi-finals the following week.
