AFC Emley entertain Brighouse Town tonight (7.45 pm) seeking to maintain their unbeaten pre-season record.

Town, managed by former Emley player Paul Quinn, won the Northern Counties East championship last term and effectively took the position of the now defunct Wakefield FC in the Evostick League Division I North.

Emley go into the match full of confidence after another impressive performance on Tuesday when they drew 1-1 at the Welfare Ground against Ossett Town.

Emley looked strongest in the early stages, but the visitors took the lead after 15 minutes from a disputed free-kick.

From an acute angle as the ball deflected off the near post and Chris Wood confidently finished after a neat pass by former Wakefield striker Rob Boardman.

Emley were not deterred and five minutes before half-time central defender Sam Jerome headed in from a corner to put Emley level.

The second period failed to produce a winner despite numerous chances at both ends.
