Kirkheaton Under 14s are on the up in the RCD Huddersfield Junior League.

They jumped to fourth in the Division 3 table with a 6-3 win at Batley, where Goddard netted four.

The other goals came from Shepherd and Bedingfield.

Cumberworth also scored six away from home to remain third in the standings.

They posted a 6-1 victory at Dewsbury B with Moore on the scoresheet twice and other goals coming from Higham, Taylor, Grimbleby and Dugdale.

Leaders Queensbury extended their 100% record to 10 matches with a 6-0 victory at Gomersal & Cleckheaton B.

In Division 1 of the same age group, Tahir was on target twice for Westend Lions as they won 2-1 at Shelley.

Bottom club Gomersal & Cleckeheaton scored an excellent 7-1 win at mid-table Rastrick.

At Under 12 level, there were mixed fortunes in penalty shoot-outs for Brighouse Sports and Ryburn United.

Brighouse Sports drew 2-2 at home with Wigton Moor in the West Riding County FA Shield, but lost it from the spot.

Ryburn, meanwhile, emerged winners in sudden death after a 2-2 draw at Westend Lions.
