The District League’s third division is turning out to be very competitive this season.
Just 14 days ago Scissett ended Grange Moor 100 per cent record, but they were brought back down to earth as their own record was smashed by Upperthong.
Upperthong are going through a similar process to Cartworth Moor in that they have a new coach.
Andrew Haigh, formerly with Storthes Hall, Brighouse and Netherton has taken control of team matters and under the new regime, they started like Cartworth Moor.
A weakened team lost to Hade Edge, but they were lucky enough to have only one evening fixture.
As far as their Saturday fixtures are concerned, they have won all three – against Wooldale, KKS Spartans and Scissett.
Last week against Scissett, three early goals settled the match.
Man of the match Ben Ravenhill scored a hat trick with two each from Anthony Haigh and Tom Short.
Brook Motors are the only team in this division with a 100 per cent record after beating Grange Moor, while two other sides contending for the top spot, Aimbry and Hade Edge shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
In this division, all the top eight fancy their chances of at least promotion.
