AFC Emely head to Hallam on Tuesday fresh from a club record-equalling win.

Ashley Flynn scored five goals as Darren Hepworth’s side put 10 without reply past Northern Counties East League First Division basement side Winterton Rangers.

Kieran Ryan and Paul Spicer both scored twice and Jordan Coduri notched a wonderful solo effort for the seventh-placed Huddersfield side.

Hallam, in third, are likely to provide a tougher test.

But Emley, who could have won by more, will be buoyant after bagging 26 goals in their last five games.

The goal glut began in the first minute as Flynn tucked home Coduri’s low cross.

Flynn then turned provider, floating in an excellent cross to Spicer, who shot into an empty net.

Ryan then smashed the ball into the roof of the net after a corner to make it 3-0 inside 13 minutes.

Emley never took their foot off the gas and got a fourth when Spicer drilled home before the break.

It was five after 49 minutes when Michael Tunnacliffe won the ball in midfield and put through Coduri, who squared the ball for Flynn to tap in.

Flynn completed his hat trick from a Ryan cross in the 59th minute.

The goal of the game came two minutes later when Coduri picked up the ball in midfielder, skipped past three Winterton defenders and rounded the keeper to convert.

Ryan then beat the keeper in a one-on-one before Flynn finished off a cross by substitute Jack Cooper.

Emley reached double figures for the only the second time in their history when Flynn tapped in Jordan Townend’s cross.

The victory equalled a 10-0 triumph over Dewsbury Moor Athletic in the West Yorkshire League Cup in November 2005.
