Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins resisted the temptation to play any of his recovering injured first-team stars in the Development friendly at AFC Emley , which the Under 21s won 4-0.

Danny Carr scored twice and claimed an assist for Steve Eyre's side, while Kallum Higginbotham and Dale Hopson were also on target at the Welfare Ground.

Darren Hepworth's Northern Counties East League Division I side played well for the first 20 minutes, but Town eventually took control after taking the lead in the 29th minute through former Dulwich Hamlet striker Carr.

Playing down the hill in the second half, Town remained in control, although they had to wait until 18 minutes from time to extend the lead when Carr got clear and set up Higginbotham for a simple strike.

Carr scored the third himself from the spot, after he'd been tripped in the area while trying to get on the end of a Jake Charles cross, and the fourth came four minutes from time when Hopson took advantage of another Charles cross.
