HUDDERSFIELD Town sealed a return to the Second Division with a penalty shoot-out victory against Mansfield at the Millennium Stadium on Monday.

In front of a crowd of 37,298, Peter Jackson's men clinched victory after a thrilling 120 minutes, which saw both sides with the chance to score.

Early on, Andy Booth headed wide and Huddersfield dominated the first period.

But it was Mansfield who finished the stronger as the match wound its way to a 0-0 scoreline, including a disallowed goal by Larkin.

In the nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out which followed, it was the Terriers who kept their nerve, converting all four of their compared with Mansfield's one.

Minutes from the end, Town captian Sodje was taken off with a neck injury but it is not thought to be serious.
