LEADING scorer Pawel Abbott was expected to join Town's full training session today ready to get back on the goal trail against Nottingham Forest.

Abbott completed a long bike ride yesterday after responding to treatment for the knee injury which forced him off against Bradford City.

He was having a final check-up today but was setting sights on Gary Megson's side and the chance to net his first Town goal since the double against Walsall six weeks ago.

"Pav is feeling much better and he should be okay," said manager Peter Jackson, who has midfielder Mark Hudson available again after his one-match ban.

"We need to be strong at the back against Forest and a bit more creative around their box than we were last Saturday.

"I expect Forest to be right up there this season because they've got too many good players to be in a struggling position and they've now got Nathan Tyson as well, so we are going to have to play well to beat them."

Martin McIntosh (knee) will spend another week working with physio Lee Martin as he looks to step up his rehabilitation.

The Juniors FA Youth Cup-tie at Darlington, postponed last night, will now be played next Wednesday (7.00).
