THE Huddersfield Town Supporters Association are running four coaches to Wembley on Saturday or, to be more accurate, three to Wembley and one to Wealdstone.

This last one will give passengers time for lunch (probably a barbeque, given the weather forecast) and a very decently-priced drink before getting the tube to Wembley to beat the traffic rush in and out of the stadium.

Our other passengers will have the chance of a drink at a bar close to Wembley, reserved exclusively for HTSA members, at very reasonable prices. This is open to the first 250 Town fans with current HTSA membership to apply for a free ticket, which you can do by emailing Chair@htsa-online.co.uk

The trip will also get good media coverage. One of the three Wembley coaches will be carrying a BBC Look North cameraman, ready to capture the anticipation beforehand and, we hope, the jubilation on the return journey, while Martin Shaw will be on another HTSA coach creating a fans’ blog for the Examiner.

As we also said last week, the coach fare to Wembley will include HTSA membership through to May 31 next year, so all HTSA passengers will be able to take advantage of the options outlined above.

In addition, of course, membership qualifies for discounted travel for the whole of next season but also strengthens the voice of HTSA as we press for a resolution of the stadium shares issue, not to mention other issues such as stewarding, pricing etc. Look out, too, for a bundle of other benefits next season.

The departure time on Saturday is 8am from the usual spot for HTSA coaches, next to the Fantastic Media stand, alongside the fitness centre.

Roll on Wembley! Up the Town!!
