WE remain committed to ensuring the success of Town's Academy and we play our part, along with all the other supporters groups, in the Development Association.

As part of that commitment, the Trust's cheque for £5,000 was presented at last Saturday's game by 14-year old Dean McLoughlin, who was at the previous week's Open meeting and had drawn the lucky number.

Gerry Murphy received the cheque on behalf of the Development Association and let's hope he is successful in his nomination for the League's Contribution to Football award, to be made on March 5.

Part of the Trust's contribution is the interest that has been earned on the Reserve fund of £50,000.

That money remains in reserve until required.

At our Open meeting earlier this month, Stephen Booth, representing the not-for-profit organisation responsible for overseeing the Storthes Hall project, confirmed that we are still waiting for the green light that will be signalled by the completion of Town's purchase of the land.

At that point it will be appropriate to re-examine the proposed provision of facilities for the Academy, to ensure that the Trust's fund will be used to its most beneficial.

In the meantime, the Trust will continue to play its part in supporting Town's outstanding Academy achievements.
