Boss Darren Hepworth has a third successive win in his sights as AFC Emley prepare for tomorrow’s Northern Counties East League clash at Knaresborough Town.

Victories at Clipstone and at home to Louth Town have left the Huddersfield side sixth in the table, five places and seven points above Knaresborough.

The hosts have lost their last two – at Grimsby Borough in the league and at home to Ossett Albion in the second round of the West Riding FA County Cup.

But Emley will have to be wary of Steve Bromley, who has bagged 10 goals for Knaresborough so far this season.

Leaders Cleethorpes Town, who are seven places above Emley having played a game more, are at home to Clipstone.

Emley Under 19s, whose Northern Alliance West Division game at Thackley on Wednesday was postponed because of waterlogging, have two games next week.

Yorkshire Amateur visit the Welfare Ground on Monday while on Thursday, it’s a League Cup second-round tie at Ossett Albion. Both games kick off of 7.45.

Emley are top of the table having won four out of four. Silsden are one place and two points behind.
