AFC EMLEY manager Ian Banks faces a selection headache tonight as his side take on Pontefract Collieries in the Northern Counties East League’s first division (7.45).

Emley are aiming to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at leaders Brighouse – a physical game on a heavy pitch which left Emley six points behind the table-toppers and with injuries to key players Lee Hill and Marc Townsend.

Hill is set to miss tonight’s game with a recurrence of a thigh strain, while Townsend suffered a shoulder injury and is a doubt.

Emley are also without Mick Amos, Simon Wright and Josh Wright who are unavailable

Banks is making moves to strengthen his side for the run-in to the end of the season and is hoping to confirm the signing of ex-Town player Steve Smith before the fixture.

Smith can operate out on the wing and in the centre of midfield and has experience playing for a number of Unibond League sides including Ossett Albion, Stalybridge Celtic, Mossley and the old Emley FC.
