TOWN have continued their policy not to pay fees to agents, the latest figures revealed by the Football League confirmed.

They were one of 19 clubs not to have shelled out over the second half of last season.

Along with Town, Colchester, Blackpool, Cheltenham, Stockport and Wrexham have not spent any money on agents in the last three seasons.

League chairman Lord Mawhinney has urged clubs to continue to cut such spending.

The figures showed a 25% drop in fees paid compared to the second half of 2005-06.

Birmingham (£321,200) and Sunderland (£287,094), both promoted to the Premier League, paid most.

Sunderland spent the most in the last 12 months, £881,594, with Birmingham paying out £841,150.

Town’s new League I rivals Luton have signed midfielder Don Hutchison on a one-year contract.

The former Scotland player, 36, was released after an 18-month spell with the Coventry at the end of last season.
