AFC EMLEY rounded off their Northern Counties East Division I campaign with a 2-2 draw at Appleby Frodingham.

With other teams still to complete their fixtures, it looks like Ian Banks’s side will be in seventh place, their highest finish since returning to this level – though they faded after a good start to the season.

Lee Hill put Emley ahead after 28 minutes with a well-placed shot, but James Atkinson equalised in first-half stoppage time.

A freak own goal by home keeper Craig Collinson three minutes into the second half handed Emley the lead once more, however they allowed Frodingham’s top scorer Ryan Hibbard to level again on 68 minutes.
