KITSON GAYLE, who scored both Bay Athletic goals as they were beaten by Albion Sports in Saturday’s West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup clash, was back on the scoresheet on Sunday – and this time a winner.

But he and his Lindley WMC teammates were pushed all the way by Kirklees League new boys Barge Albion, and needed a last-gasp leveller to take their District FA Sunday Challenge Cup tie into extra time.

Sunday League side Lindley proved the stronger in the additional half hour, netting three times without replay for a 7-4 success which sealed a second-round derby meeting with Marsh Liberal.

There were two apiece for Brighton Mugadza and Karl Jones, while Graham McLachlan and Freddie McGilvary also made the scoresheet alongside Gayle.

Towngate, of the Heavy Woollen League, were far too strong for Sunday League Thornhill Arms, netting 11 times without reply.

Second-round draw: Towngate v Waterloo BC, Pak Rangers v FC Varsity, Field Head v Wellington Westgate, Lindley WMC v Marsh Lib, Huddersfield Irish Centre v Britannia Sports, Woodfield Park v Golcar Con, Leeds Road Wanderers v Barr Street, Rose and Crown v Lepton Lib.
