HUDDERSFIELD FA Minor team continued this season’s unbeaten record with a fine 9-0 victory over Barkston Ash.

Jack Storrie finished with four goals, Josimar Bradshaw and Adam Hill both secured braces and Ryan Haigh finished off the scoring.

It was a professional display from Huddersfield against a Barkston team who had Jack Wall sent off and who started the second half with only nine men because of a further injury (their squad was only 11 strong).

Things got worse when keeper Adam Kitchen, who had been doing his upmost to keep the score respectable, left the pitch injured after a shot struck him in the face. The injured player from the interval had to return in goal.

As early as the third minute, the writing was on the wall for Barkston when a header from a corner was disallowed.

Haigh scored the opener before Hill netted a one-one-one, then Bradshaw pounced and Storrie made it four before the break.

Huddersfield keeper Nathan Meredith and central defensive pairing Richard Schofield and Killian Cropper became almost redundant after the break as their opponents rarely threatened.

Goals came at regular intervals as Storrie took his tally to four and Bradshaw and Hill completed the rout.
