HUDDERSFIELD Irish Centre will face opponents from Liverpool in the second round of the FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup.

Britannia FC will be the visitors for the tie at AFC Emley’s Welfare Ground on November 15 (1.00).

They progressed with a 5-0 first-round win at home to city rivals BRNESC.

Irish Centre, quarter-finalists in the prestigious national competition last season, were 4-1 winners over Leeds side Chapeltown Brazil at Emley, with the consensus being that the scoreline flattered them.

Holders Scots Grey, who knocked Irish Centre out last season, have withdrawn from the current competition.

Their scheduled opponents Swanfield, from Hull, go straight through to the last 32.

Irish Centre are currently second to Wellington Westgate in the Huddersfield Sunday League.
