TOWN Ladies Reserves romped to a 13-3 win in their West Riding League Cup clash at Oulton.

With no first-team fixture – the next in the North-East Regional Women’s League Premier Division is at Ossett Albion on Sunday (2.00) – there was a strong look to the second XI line-up.

Town were playing against the wind in the first half, but needed only seven minutes to go ahead through Laura Carter, who went on to get a hat trick.

Jo Atkinson scored the first of her five-goal haul after 16 minutes.

Oulton pulled one back before Town’s Olivia Holmes had a penalty saved.

Leading 2-1 at half-time, Town cut loose in the second period, when Kate Mallin, Bianca Pinnock, Raegan Cartledge, Jo Symington and Leanne Entwhistle also netted.

Next up are Farsley Celtic at Grange Moor on Sunday (2.00).

The club have two junior sides in action at Grange Moor on Saturday.
