HUDDERSFIELD sport this coming weekend has again taken a big hit from bad weather.
Football and rugby matches which were scheduled to be played on council managed and HOCHTIEF managed school pitches in Kirklees have been called off.
The Huddersfield District League and Works League have called off all their matches on Saturday.
The Sunday League and Kirklees Sunday League have still to announce their plans.
For teams in the RCD Junior League, anyone who is playing on a private pitch or on one not managed by Kirklees or HOCHTIEF (schools) can play if the surface is okay.
There is no blanket postponement for the juniors because Leeds council have cleared their pitches and have said they are fit for play.
A Kirklees Council spokesperson said: “Due to the recent bad weather, pitches are in an unplayable condition, with many still covered in snow and ice, so we have taken the decision not to stage games.”
