AFC EMLEY continue their build-up to the new Koolsport Northern Counties East League First Division campaign with a home friendly against Farsley tomorrow (7.30).
Formed from the ashes of former Conference club Farsley Celtic, who went into administration last summer and out of business at the back end of last season, the new side will compete in the NCEL Premier Division.
They have already signalled their intentions to mount a rapid climb back up the pyramid with a string of high-profile signings, including striker Simeon Bambrook, who played for the original Emley (now Wakefield FC).
New AFC Emley boss Darren Bland saw his new-look side go down 5-0 to Town in their opening friendly at the Welfare Ground last Friday, when 1,597 watched.
Bland’ side have been drawn at home to Winterton Rangers in the NCEL President’s Cup first round, with the date to be confirmed.
