BAY Athletic can keep their hands on the West Riding County Amateur League title by gaining a point against Huddersfield rivals Kirkburton tomorrow.

Rivals Ovenden WR ensured the champagne remained on ice by beating Brighouse Town 3-1 on Wednesday.

The Halifax side could catch Bay if they won their four remaining games and the current leaders lost both their outstanding matches.

But Richard Spychalski’s team, the reigning champions who are chasing a third crown in four seasons and who were 3-1 home winners over Halifax Irish on Tuesday, will aim to put the issue beyond doubt and pick up a 24th win of the campaign against Dean Calcutt’s Burton at Syngenta.

In other Premier Division games tomorrow, busy Meltham are in action for the third time in five days when they host Storthes Hall in another Huddersfield derby.

Paul Hutson’s men lost 9-5 at Wibsey on Monday and 1-0 at Lower Hopton on Wednesday.

The Hall went down 2-1 at Bradford side Campion on Wednesday.

Golcar, who drew 3-3 with Hall Green United in Wakefield, are at home to Wibsey.

Storthes Hall reserves take on Rawdon OB in the Division II Cup final tonight.
