BEING only six points off the play-offs, do you feel we have a realistic chance of getting in the top six? Andrew O'Brien, Bradley and Ray Stirk, e-mail

Jacko says: OUR last two results have done us a lot of favours.

If we hadn't won those matches against Hartlepool and Sheffield Wednesday, who are both in the top six, then we wouldn't have had any chance at all.

Now, we have a slight chance.

If we can win at Peterborough tomorrow and then follow up with victories in our back-to-back home games against Doncaster and Colchester then it will make life very interesting indeed - especially if one or two of the clubs above us are slipping up.

At the moment, you would have to say our play-off chances are slim - but there is still a chance.

And that's a great incentive for everyone as we approach these final six matches.

THE big clubs always state the importance of the correct diet for their players. Do Town take an active role in what the players eat, both at the club and at home? Tom, Huddersfield

Jacko says: OUR physio, Lee Martin, handles all that and advises the players on what is best.

You are right that every club now takes a very close look at diet for their squads and we do try to do the right things all the year round.

The only meal we have together at the Galpharm is lunch on a Friday, after our training session is over and everyone is ready for the match the following day.

Chicken and pasta make up the menu and the lads enjoy having a chat and looking forward to the match ahead.

We are happy with the health and fitness of the squad but, of course, there is only so much you can tell people about what they should eat.

We do what we can, but the rest is up to them.

The great thing here is that all the lads realise how important it is to be fit, because the game is so much faster than it was 10 years ago.

If you let yourself down on the dietary side then it's going to show through in your fitness, so the lads are all good and, of course, they are regularly weighed.

In addition to that, we have introduced massages and ice baths which are helping all the lads, and I'm sure people will remember Delroy Facey's comments about how much better organised the club is now compared with when he was first at the club.

So I am happy with fitness and how the lads look after themselves.

IT is common knowledge our youngsters have talent, but you must have been impressed on Tuesday night how they stood up to a very physical test against Sheffield Wednesday. Dave H, Huddersfield

Jacko says: I WAS particularly happy with the back two of Tom Clarke and David Mirfin.

With Peacock and Barrett being such experienced strikers, it really was a massive test for those two lads, but they came through the challenge with flying colours.

I also thought our two central midfield players, Jon Worthington and Adnan Ahmed, were superb.

Adnan just gets better by the match and Worthy had his best game of the season, if not his best for the club.

Those two and the centre-backs were the highlights, but I thought everyone competed brilliantly against a side who hadn't been beaten away from home since October and had lost just once in 18 outings.

A 1-0 victory sounds like it was a close game, but it wasn't.

Sheffield Wednesday got away very lightly and that was a measure of how well we played.

It was especially pleasing to do the business in front of our biggest home crowd of the season and the support we got on the night was fantastic.

I know all the lads enjoyed the atmosphere and, hopefully, we will have a bit more to cheer before the season is over.

ARE we ever going to be ready for when Andy Booth retires? Darryl Andrews, e-mail

Jacko says: THEY are going to be big boots to fill, that's for sure.

Boothy has been outstanding for me and, at 32, he's still got another season left on his contract, so he'll be around for a good while yet.

Andy has missed 19 matches for us this season and, when he hasn't been there, we have missed him.

When he finally does hang up his boots or leave the club for whatever reason, he will be a massive loss.

Since Day One, he has been magnificent for me in terms of his attitude and performances and I think everyone knows how much he feels about the club.

I am delighted with his contribution and I could not have asked more from a senior player than I've got from Andy Booth.

With football. though, no-one is irreplaceable.

Jon Stead went and we replaced him correctly with Pawel Abbott. Efe Sodje was going to be a big loss, but just look at the displays of our centre-backs in the last two games.

WILL Rob Edwards play on for another season? JV, Huddersfield

Jacko says: ROB has played really well in the last couple of games.

I have tried a few options in the left-back position this season, but in the last couple of games Rob has been outstanding.

As far as next season is concerned, we will just have to wait and see.

Rob will be the first to know what our plans are.

DO you think referees don't like us because of our red-card record during last season? DA, e-mail

Jacko says: I DON'T think so, but if you ask anyone from the 92 clubs I think they will tell you that referees are very inconsistent.

I wouldn't say we've suffered more than anyone else, but it is very frustrating when you get unnecessary red and yellow cards.

Referees ought to realise they are part of the entertainment, but at the moment I feel they are spoiling too many games with silly bookings and sendings-off.

IS there just no way we can possibly get Luke Beckett on a permanent deal? Damian, Lichfield Terrier

Jacko says: THERE is no way.

We cannot compete in terms of the transfer fee that will be required or the package Luke wants.

That is being brutally honest with our fans, not promising something which we can't deliver.

Ken Davy and Andrew Watson are running this club extremely well and they have always done everything they can to help me, but money is tight because we don't want to return to the shambles which greeted us two years ago.

DO you have in mind the signings who can take us forward next season? Daz, e-mail

Jacko says: I'VE been asked this many times in recent weeks and the answer is `yes.'

The squad has already changed significantly since transfer deadline day with the two Sodjes and Delroy Facey leaving and Danny Adams coming in.

I do have one particular player in mind who I'm keen to add in the summer and he's a defender.

We will then probably need another two or three players in addition to make up the squad.
