EX- HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Simon Grayson has been installed as bookies' favourite to become the next manager of Blackpool.

The 43-year-old who parted company with Town yesterday ended his playing days and began his managerial career at Bloomfield Road.

SkyBet make him 6/4, ahead of ex-Southampton chief Nigel Adkins, who is being strongly linked with Town, and former Town boss Lee Clark, to succeed Michael Appleton.

Steve Thompson is in caretaker charge of Blackpool, who are 15th in the Championship ahead of tomorrow's trip to Wolves.
