Watford must be ready to return to the real world when they face Huddersfield Town.

That’s the warning from head coach Slavisa Jokanovic ahead of the Championship clash.

Serbian Jokanovic took his team back to former club Chelsea in the FA Cup last Sunday.

They were beaten 3-0, but have won four of their last five league games and are fifth.

The former Yugoslavia midfielder wants Watford to claim a seventh away win of the season.

“We are back in our real life. It is important to be constant now,” he said.

“But we have another hard game in front of us. Huddersfield are a good team and work hard.

“If we aren’t 100 per cent ready for fighting, running and working like a team, then we will find many problems.

“They will press us, and won’t let us play with the ball. We must be ready for this situation.”

Jokanovic, going into his 14th league game in charge, added: “Nobody is going to give us any presents.

“We need the right mentality, now is the time for hard work, and to work all together.

“In November we didn’t find our way, we showed a better face in December, now it is about being consistent.”
