BOURNEMOUTH have made their fourth signing of the summer after landing trialist Marvin Bartley.

The 21-year-old midfielder has impressed boss Kevin Bond enough in pre-season friendlies to earn a one-year contract.

Bartley played for non-league Hampton & Richmond last season, and almost joined the professional ranks with MK Dons.

He said: “It’s going to be hard to break into the first team. But I believe in my ability and won’t fail for lack of trying.”

Town’s first League I away opponents this season (the two clash on Saturday, August 18), have also snapped up former Celtic full-back Paul Telfer, Luton centre-back Russell Perrett and Burnley midfielder Gareth O’Connor.

Doncaster have signed Scottish centre-back Gordon Greer, who has rejected the offer of a new contract at Kilmarnock.

The 26-year-old started his career at Clyde and then had spells at Blackburn and Stockport.

Brighton will find out today if they have been given the go-ahead to build a new stadium.

Town’s League I rivals have been waiting for almost six years for approval for the proposed 22,000-seater arena.

Brighton, who currently play at the Withdean Stadium, have been without a permanent home since 1997, when they left the Goldstone Ground.

Primarily an athletics stadium and with a capacity of just 8,850, Withdean is a far from ideal venue.

Championship club Burnley have unveiled a £20m plan to redevelop Turf Moor.

Brendan Flood, a director and lifelong supporter, will fund the regeneration of the stadium and surrounding area.

As well as a new £10m stand, a hotel, cinema and football academy feature in the plans.
