TOWN defender Danny Adams reviewed a dismal 3-0 defeat at Doncaster and insisted: "We have to develop a more ruthless streak."

Town had Adnan Ahmed and Pawel Abbott sent off by Premiership referee Mark Halsey - but only after going three down in the first-ever football match at the new Keepmoat Stadium.

Both Ahmed, for a 57th-minute two-footed tackle, and Abbott, for raising a hand in the melee which followed, were shown straight red cards, as was Rovers left-back Gareth Roberts for a late challenge on Aaron Hardy in the 79th minute.

All three will serve three-match bans which, for Ahmed and Abbott, start when Town go to Yeovil on League I business on Friday.

Left-back Adams knows it's vital Peter Jackson's 16th-placed side hit back and produce the kind of battling display which helped them beat Swansea 3-2 at the Galpharm on Saturday.
