LEE CLARK is delighted more than 3,000 Town fans are expected at Oldham on Sunday.

The Galpharm boss beamed at news the club have sold 2,700 tickets, with many more deciding to avoid potential problems with a postal striker by deciding to buy on the day at Boundary Park.

Clark has been thrilled by Town's backing on the road this season and explained: "The fans don't have to change because they've been magnificent all season.

"All we have to do now on our travels is match them in terms of performances and results and we will very quickly start to threaten that top six in the table.

"It's important we have a good bond between management, players and fans and we talk about our supporters all the time because they've been very, very good all season.

"They are no more demanding than we are ourselves because we set high standards and have high expectations and the fans are just as frustrated as we are when we don't do well.

"We are going to Oldham to try and win the game, to give the fans something to cheer, and if we can get our away form back on track, then we will be on a roll because we've got too many good players."
