LEE CLARK looked on as Adam Hammill’s stoppage- time strike for Town denied his Birmingham side victory and said: “My players are not getting the results they deserve.

“In our last three games we’ve had draws at Huddersfield and Leeds United (in the FA Cup) and a loss at home to Cardiff on New Year’s Day. We’ve deserved to win all three games.”

The former Town boss, who was sacked last February and appointed by Birmingham in the close-season, added: “I think the key is killing teams off and we had opportunities in the second half to make the margin bigger than 1-0, because whilst it’s only 1-0 the opposition have the chance to get back at you.

“To be fair to Simon (Grayson), he went for it.

“Huddersfield pushed bodies forward. They went to three at the back and got the opportunities.

“My lads are disappointed and frustrated but I’ve told them that they’re playing really well at the moment, they’ve got to keep going, we’ve got to keep believing and we’ll get the rub of the green.
