Black Friday? Stats suggest it's more like a Black Thursday for Huddersfield Town

Today might be Black Friday, but Wednesday is the day Huddersfield Town fans should value most, statistics suggest.

The Trinity Mirror Data Unit have analysed results from all of England's top four divisions since the start of the 1992/1993 campaign (the start of the Premier League) up to the end of last season.

And the numbers have proven that the Terriers win 46 per cent of their league games played on Wednesdays - more than any other day of the week - having played 28 games on that particular day.

Perhaps it should be Black Thursday for Town instead, with the Terriers winning just 25% of their four games on that day of the week.
