BOLTON have signed Sheffield Wednesday full-back Hayden White as they continue their bid to bring former Town loan striker Jermaine Beckford to the Reebok Stadium.

White, 18, who is yet to make his senior debut, has agreed a three-year deal with Bolton after rejecting Wednesday’s offer of a professional contract.

Norwich defender Marc Tierney has already been recruited by Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman, who played alongside Beckford at Leeds.

Talks with Leicester are progressing while centre-back Alex Baptiste, out of contract Blackpool, is also expected to join the Trotters.

Jamaican international Beckford was Town’s second-top scorer last season with nine goals in 22 appearances.

Bolton’s Welsh international defender Sam Ricketts is reported to be in talks with Wolves.

He played under the League I club’s new head coach Kenny Jackett at Swansea.

Wolves have made captain Karl Henry, Jamie O’Hara, Roger Johnson and Stephen Ward available for transfer in the wake of their relegation.

Midfielder Henry, 30, has played more than 250 games and in contracted until 2016.

However, he has been transfer listed alongside defender Johnson, 30, ex-Tottenham midfielder O’Hara, 26, and 27-year-old utility man Ward.

All four played for the Wolves side relegated from the top flight in 2012.
