ANDY BOOTH has had the perfect early kick-off for his testimonial season - becoming a proud dad for the second time.

Wife Cheryl gave birth to 7lb 6oz daughter Hermione Rose at 1pm on Thursday at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Booth - whose Testimonial Match against Real Sociedad at the Galpharm on July 25 will be refereed by Premiership whistler Mike Riley - said the whole family are delighted.

"We're all really happy and Harrison is delighted to have a baby sister," said Town's talismanic frontman.

"Cheryl and Hermione are both doing really well, but it looks like there will be some sleepless nights during our pre-season.

"At the moment she's sleeping during the day and it's fun and games during the night, but hopefully we can get her sorted by the start of the season!"

Town, of course, kick off at Gillingham on Saturday, August 5.

Boothy added: "She's lovely and we'd obviously like to give a special thank you to everyone concerned at the HRI delivery suite and Ward 14."
