A LEE BRADLEY hat trick was the highlight as Kirkburton sailed past Overthorpe 7-1 in the West Riding County Amateur League Division I Cup.

Burton stormed into a 4-0 half-time lead with an early goal by Steve Chandler and they went 2-0 up on 30 minutes, when, after some superb passing, the ball was played into Bradley. He fed the ball wide to Chris Parker who put a superb cross to the back post were Bradley tucked it away.

Parker headed in a third from a Chandler cross and, when Parker was brought down in the box in what looked liked an innocent tackle, the referee pointed to the spot and Bradley converted the penalty.

Kirkburton did not sit back after the break and further goals by Parker, another penalty conversion by Bradley after Jordan Tindle was brought down, and Chandler saw Burton safely through, with Overthorpe's centre-back Michael Haley netting a late consolation.

Meltham were beaten by Keighley Shamrocks 4-3 on penalties in the Cup after sharing a 1-1 scoreline after extra-time with George Dawson on target.
