Brighouse Town are offering cut-price admission for Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and FC Halifax Town season-card holders for their Boxing Day home game.

It’s against Farsley and Brighouse officials are hoping West Yorkshire supporters who haven’t got tickets to watch their own team will turn up to enjoy some Evo-Stik Norther Premier League action.

It’s a 3pm kick-off at St Giles Road and Brighouse chairman Ray McLaughlin said: “I saw where Huddersfield Town had sold their entire allocation for the away derby at Rotherham so we would like to see some Town fans who can’t get in at the New York Stadium come and support us for £4 as against £7. Concessions for pass holders will be £2.”

The same applies for Bradford City pass holders as they are away to Fleetwood and FC Halifax Town fans, whose team are away to Gateshead.

Brighouse are hoping with the match being against Farsley, midway between Bradford and Leeds, it could also tempt a few Bantams fans. Had Leeds United not been entertaining Wigan Athletic, then the same offer would have been made to Elland Road season card holders as well.

“We have two long journeys to make after this game to Bridlington on New Year’s Day to play Scarborough and then to Darlington on Saturday, January 3 – and every penny of support counts,” added McLaughlin.

“We are hopeful of possibly our biggest gate of the season against Farsley and are keeping our fingers crossed the weather stays kind to us.”
