Huddersfield Town look set to face an experimental side when they take on Bristol City on Saturday.

Robins boss Lee Johnson is without Korey Smith and Adam Matthews while Aden Flint is unlikely to be passed fit after being subbed off against Blackburn last weekend.

And with Bristol City mathematically safe from relegation, the boss revealed that he is ready to give fringe players and youngsters the chance they crave.

Said Johnson: “It’s a good chance for me to take a look at a couple who need to be looked at and deserve their opportunity.

“We’ve got a couple of injuries that we will have to deal with, but hopefully we can put out a really entertaining team for different reasons.

“There are a lot of players in this squad who have stayed with us.

"Little things like celebrating when we score and training to their maximum at every opportunity – those guys deserve a chance to see whether they can be put into the mindset for next year.
