TOWN utility man Nat Brown was today in talks with League II Lincoln City.

Imps manager Keith Alexander made contact with the Galpharm club over the weekend after Brown's proposed move to Shrewsbury fell through.

The 24-year-old, who is being allowed to move even though he still has a year to go on his Town contract, could not agree personal terms at Gay Meadow.

He returned to join in with the second day of Town's pre-season training programme on Friday.

It is believed Brown, who has made 83 appearances for Town, will be offered a two-year contract by Lincoln.

"As I said before the Shrewsbury talks, we just can't guarantee Nat a first-team place," said Town boss Peter Jackson.
