Mark Robins is ready for a busy Easter.

Town’s boss is deep into his preparations for Friday afternoon’s key home Championship clash with play-off chasers Brighton.

The John Smith’s side will then start the countdown to Monday’s clash at relegation-threatened Yeovil, for where they will depart after training at PPG Canalside on Sunday.

And on Saturday, Robins will squeeze in a trip to his former club Leicester to take in their meeting with QPR.

The Foxes, who are already promoted, visit Town a week on Saturday.

By then Robins (above), who played for the East Midlands club between 1995-98, hopes his current side will have banished any lingering fears of being drawn into a survival battle.

“We’re obviously looking to pick up maximum points in the next two games,” said the manager, whose team are five places and six points above the drop zone.

“After that we have Leicester at home then Watford away (on Saturday, May 3), and we want to be going into those games thinking about what the sides above us, rather than below, are doing.

“The Brighton game is obviously the first priority.

“But we also plan ahead, and given the length of the trip to Yeovil (263 miles) we want to make sure we get the logistics right.

“In that respect, playing on Friday, rather than Saturday, is helpful.”

There are seven Good Friday games – Yeovil make the trip to Blackburn – and five on Saturday.

Brighton dropped out of the top six on Monday, when Reading replaced them thanks to their 1-1 home draw with Leicester.

The Royals got to fellow promotion hopefuls Wigan on Friday.

And boss Nigel Adkins says he is playing “chess” with his squad as he tries to manage an injury crisis.

“We went into the Leicester game knowing we’d get an hour out of this person or half an hour out of some,” said Adkins.

“Then in the game we had to make three substitutions because of injuries.”

Jordan Obita, Garath McCleary and Danny Williams were all withdrawn, while Danny Guthrie and Hope Akpan are among those already out.

Friday’s fixtures (3.00 unless stated): Blackburn v Yeovil, Bournemouth v Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton v Bolton, Town v Brighton, Wigan v Reading, Blackpool v Burnley (5.15), Doncaster v Derby (7.30).

Saturday: Leicester v QPR (12.15), Barnsley v Leeds, Middlesbrough v Millwall, Nottingham Forest v Birmingham, Watford v Ipswich.
