Hello and welcome to our live blog covering the Carabao Cup second round draw.

Simon Grayson's Sunderland have beaten Lee Clark's Bury FC tonight to set up the draw, with Sky Sports streaming it live.

Town enter in the second round this year, having achieved a remarkable promotion to the Premier League last season.

The top 25 teams left in the competition will be drawn against the bottom 25, so Town will not be able to draw Leeds United, but the Terriers have already got further than they did last term, when they were beaten by Shrewsbury Town in the first round.

Stick with us for the draw live as Town find out their fate in the League Cup competition - the first piece of silverware up for grabs this season.

When is it?

The match will be scheduled in the week commencing Monday, August 21.

It’s likely to be a midweek game, with Town playing Newcastle the Sunday before in the Premier League.
