After a week-long international break, Huddersfield Town make the long trip to South Wales to face Cardiff City.

The Terriers are still searching for their first league win of the season after picking up just three points from five matches and leaking too many late goals in the process.

In contrast, Cardiff City are looking to maintain an unbeaten start to the campaign, collecting nine points from their first five encounters.

Who has said what about the game?

Defender Martin Cranie is in bullish mood ahead of today's clash, despite the disappointing 1-0 home defeat by QPR last time out, claiming the international break has left the side frustrated.

He said: “The international break has been frustrating. After the QPR game, we all wanted to get back out as soon as possible. We have had to be patient, but at least we have had a chance to do some solid training.”

“The Championship is a tight division, and anyone can beat any other side on their day. We aim to make sure this will be be our day.”

Any team news?

Terriers manager Chris Powell is likely to ring the changes with on-loan trio Jamie Paterson, Elliott Ward and Emyr Hughes all pushing to make their debuts while Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer has joined on loan with Joe Murphy out injured.

Mustapha Carayol, who joined on-loan from Middlesbrough, could also be handed a start after making a brief cameo appearance against QPR.

Meanwhile, the hosts are expected to name an unchanged side from before the international break with Aron Gunnarsson, David Marshall, Anthony Pilkington and Bruno Manga all returning unscathed from national team duty.

Tell me about Cardiff City

The early signs to this season look encouraging for Russell Slade's men as they look to improve on their 11th-place finish last campaign.

After much-publicised turmoil at the club between the owner, managers and fans, the Bluebirds appear to be settled and heading in the right direction - evident by their 2-1 away win at Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Keeping highly-rated goalkeeper David Marshall and forward Joe Mason in the transfer window may even see the Bluebirds soar towards a promotion push this season.

League Head-To-Head Record

CCFC (19 wins), HTAFC (29 Wins), Draws (20)

Having not kept a clean sheet so far this campaign, the Terriers will be wary of the threat posed by Cardiff City's Kenwyne Jones, who scored twice during the Bluebird's 3-1 win last time Huddersfield visited in August 2014.

The reverse fixture in February saw both sides play out a goalless draw with Cardiff unbeaten in the last five encounters between the sides, both home and away, and not losing to Town since a 1-0 defeat back in 2003, where a late Andy Booth goal gave Huddersfield all three points.

Any Match odds?

The hosts are red-hot favourites to win the game at 21/20 with Huddersfield at 3/1 and the draw priced at 5/2.
