IF Tony Carss returns against Walsall, he's likely to go straight to the front of the queue for penalties.

The 28-year-old will assume that duty from the suspended Danny Schofield, even though Lee Fowler and Junior Mendes would be possibles.

Mendes scored from a twice-taken penalty against Morecambe in the LDV on Tuesday, although he had to repel strong overtures from Fowler.

"Danny Schofield would have taken it if he'd been on the pitch," said Jackson, who watched the red-card midfielder score against Lincoln in the play-off semi-finals and also in the Cardiff shoot-out.

"I think Lee Fowler had his Cardiff head on when he wanted it, but Junior hadn't scored for us so it was right for him to go ahead.

"Carssy is our other strong candidate, though, and he scored at Cardiff as well."
