Leeds United are said to be 'closing in' on Ivan Juric as their new manager.

Currently in charge of Italian club Crotone, Juric guided his side to Serie A promotion this season and that has reportedly caught the eye of Massimo Cellino.

And Crotone director Giuseppe Urtino has admitted it will be "impossible" to prevent any deal with Leeds.

"Monday we will know everything, there are difficulties," he told Italian magazine Stop and Goal.

"It depends on him - we would like to keep it.

"We do not want him to leave. Many teams seek him, it is right that he decides what he wants to do.

"We are doing the impossible to keep him, we will accept any decision."

But Rotherham United have admitted defeat in the quest to keep Neil Warnock.

A club statement read : "We would like to place on record our thanks to Neil and his support staff for the 16 games that they led the team for."

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are targeting Chelsea's Champions League-winning manager Roberto Di Matteo according to the latest reports.

Villa chairman Steve Hollis is aiming to finalise a £75m Chinese takeover, and there are claims those new owners have their sights set on Di Matteo.

He has been a free agent since leaving Schalke in May 2015.

Newcastle United have shown no interest in activating Rafa Benitez's break clause but no deal has yet been confirmed for the manager to remain in charge in the Championship next season.

The Sun reports that Slavisa Jokanovic is considering a move for the 27-year-old, who has made just six appearances for the Cherries in 2015/16 but is valued at £3m.

Newcastle and Bristol City are both thought to be rivals for his signature.
