Leeds United have missed out on signing Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher.

The 20-year-old, fearing lack of first team minutes after the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has opted for a move away from Old Trafford after rejecting a new contract.

Leeds had expressed serious interest in the youngster, while Wolves were also heavily linked.

But he is set to sign for West Ham after the Premier League outfit offered him a four year contract.

Barnsley and Rotherham both retain interest in Rangers target Tom Bradshaw despite having bids rejected.

The striker has been linked with a move to the Scottish giants, but the Championship duo are still pursuing him even though they have had offers knocked back.

And according to the Express and Star , Barnsley's second bid of £350,000 is still some way short of the £500,000 being demanded by the Saddlers.

New Reading manager Jaap Stam has insisted star midfielder and rumoured Celtic target Aaron Tshibola is not for sale.

The 21-year-old midfielder is said to be the subject of a £2m bid from Norwich City, but Stam is adamant he will not be moving.

Stam told the Reading Chronicle : “His future is here with us, I don’t want him to leave and I have spoken to the club.

“He’s a young player with so much quality. He needs to stay at Reading."

Aston Villa are hoping to make former Manchester United goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini their second summer signing after lodging a £4.1m bid.

The stopper is now with Hellas Verona in his native Italy and made 26 appearances for the Serie A side last term.

Now 21, the Birmingham Mail reports that Roberto Di Matteo is hoping Gollini is the man to solve his goalkeeping worries with Brad Guzan and Mark Bunn both out of favour.

Sheffield Wednesday have made a surprise £11.5m bid for Fulham star Ross McCormack.

That's according to Sheffield Live reporter Alan Biggs via the Sheffield Star.

McCormack is interesting a whole host of clubs and Slavisa Jokanovic is keen to bring in new recruits after losing Moussa Dembele to Celtic.
