Bolton Wanderers have received a winding-up petition from HMRC for about £600,000 in unpaid taxes.

The Championship side asked for more time to raise the money, but HMRC made the decision to serve the petition.

Four parties are said to be interested in buying the club - and Neil Lennon has said there are plans in place to avoid administration and the accompanying 12 point deduction.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspure are chasing Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele.

The forward has nine goals in all competitions so far this season, and has had an offer of a four and a half year deal from the Cottagers.

However, the Premier League duo are circling with the January transfer window weeks away from opening.

Elsewhere in the gossip columns, Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has refused to rule out Benik Afobe leaving the club next month.

Czech defender Daniel Pudil is hoping his loan move to Sheffield Wednesday will be made permanent.

He said; “Sheffield Wednesday is one of the biggest clubs in the UK and there are so many supporters here.

“I would like to stay in Sheffield. If the chairman wants me at the end of the season, I would be perfectly happy.”

Leeds United are likely to be without skipper Sol Bamba when they travel to Charlton this weekend.

The captain fractured his toe during the international break but was due back this weekend.
