Liverpool are one of four clubs considering a move for Aston Villa left back Jordan Amavi.

The left back hasn't played since last November, when he suffered a season-ending cruciate injury on international duty, but L'Equipe are reporting that clubs across the continent are interested - including the Reds, AC Milan and Lyon.

And Villa are apparently ready to part with him for around £10.8m to ensure they recoup the fee they paid Nice last summer.

Rangers are ready to swoop for Fulham midfielder Ben Pringle - according to the Express.

The Glasgow giants have already added Joey Barton and Jordan Rossiter to their ranks, as well as former Huddersfield Town duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks.

But they have added the 27-year-old Pringle to the shopping list as they prepare for life back in the Scottish Premiership.

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has played down reports linking him with a move to Sporting Lisbon.

The forward scored nine times in 33 Premier League games last season after arriving on Tyneside in a £13m deal last summer.

Media reports in Portugal were claiming he was a top target for the Lisbon outfit, but Mitrovic has distanced himself.

"I have four more years of contract with Newcastle and I haven't received any official approach so far," he said.

Mitrovic celebrates the second goal during the last match of the 2015/16 season in which Newcastle were relegated, Newcastle United 5-1 Tottenham

"I'm happy in England, of course, but it's always good to see my name linked to a club like Sporting. It's a big club.”

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood could be about to swap Hillsborough for Middlesbrough, say the Northern Echo.

The former Sunderland stopper has a £2.5m release clause in his contract and has been left disappointed by the Owls' failure to secure promotion.

And the report suggests a move to the Riverside could suit all parties.

QPR have had a bid for Metz winger Yeni Ngbakoto rejected.

Get West London reports that the two clubs "remain in discussions" , while the Rs are still interested in a move for Lille's Sehrou Guirassy - although the fee could prove a stumbling block.

Hearts are close to a deal for released Derby County forward Conor Sammon.

The Edinburgh Evening News are reporting that the Irish forward is also wanted by Aberdeen, but the Edinburgh club are currently ahead in the chase for his signature.

Sammon was released by Derby after falling down the pecking order and spending time on loan at Ipswich, Rotherham and Sheffield United.
