Ex-Aston Villa and England midfielder Kieran Richardson is in talks with Birmingham City .
The 31-year-old had two years at Villa, but was released last summer in part of the club's clear-out following relegation.

The 27-year-old spent time on loan at Elland Road last year and said: "It feels good, it's been a long time coming, been dragged out but now it's done and we can concentrate on playing football," Bridcutt said.
"I enjoyed myself here last season, the boys made me feel welcome and it was a club I enjoyed playing for.
"I was very happy here, now we have new management and the persistence from Leeds was all I wanted."
