AFC EMLEY are offering a special £10 ticket for Saturday’s home clash with Hull United (3.00).

As well as admission to the Northern Counties East League First Division clash at the Welfare Ground, it covers a programme, raffle ticket and any food item with chips and a hot drink.

The offer applies to advance tickets bought on-line at shop.afcemley.co.uk before 11.59pm on Friday.

No concession price is available, but under 13s always have free admission when accompanied by an adult.

The promotion has been put together by the Huddersfield club to mark non-league day.

Emley, in seventh, aim to make it 10 points from the last 12 available after wins over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and Winterton Rangers, who were defeated 10-0, and a draw at Hallam.

Hull United, managed by former professional footballer and British light-welterweight boxing champion Curtis Woodhouse, are fourth.

Darren Hepworth’s Emley beat Thorpe Hesley 4-1 in the second round of the Sheffield Senior Cup on Wednesday, when Ashley Flynn took his season’s goal haul to 28.

Flynn (38 minutes) and Kieran Ryan (43) put Emley two to the good.

The Rotherham side, from the Sheffield County Senior League, pulled one back through Thomas Beech (47).

But a Jordan Coduri strike (81 minutes) and a last-gasp Chris Meakin own goal ensured Emley went through to round three.

Anthony Haigh and Ryan were thwarted by keeper Matt King before he parried a Haigh shot and Flynn tucked home the rebound.

Ryan shot home after Flynn headed on Jack Cooper’s cross.

Beech’s reply was a hopeful shot from distance.

Defender Cooper and Ryan combined to tee up Coduri before Meakin put through his own goal under pressure from Flynn.

Shelley suffered a 4-0 home defeat in their second-round clash with Shaw Lane Aquaforce, of the Northern Premier League.

West Yorkshire League side Shelley have a Premier Division game at Wetherby Athletic on Saturday.
